Dhaulagiri Around Trekking
This is extended and strenuous trek, through high alpine pastures, higher passes and serene, and uninhabited valleys. Trekking off the main paths is not only possible, but can be immensely rewarding, though you do need a sense of adventure and an increased ability to deal with unexpected. Geographically Dhaulagiri region is a land of dramatic contrast.

Long closed to visitors, for a variety of reasons - including its remoteness, the region west and north of Dhaulagiri was opened to trekkers, traveling in organized groups. This made it possible for trekkers to go behind, north of the Dhaulagiri massif, to explore remote villages and even more remote valleys, which had been the sole domain of mountaineers.
